"Born Rich" was filmed in New York at the old Biograph studios.
Through the courtesy of the Cartier Company, the Hope Ruby was used during the making of "Born Rich." It is the companion to the famous Hope Diamond and the Hope Pearl. The Hope Ruby, said to be worth $100,000, was formerly the property of the Queen of Belgium. "...It was necessary to have special watchmen at the studio continually to care for this stone, and each night when work was finished it was returned to Cartier’s for safe keeping. In the picture it is seen reposing on the beautiful neck of Miss Claire Windsor and also Miss Doris Kenyon."
The titles for "Born Rich" were especially clever ones. Probably the funniest scene in the picture shows the small Fairfax boy extremely bored at dining with his father.
